Hey have you ever wondered what the sun is or what it’s made of? Ok well our sun is a big round ball in the middle of our solar system. Our sun is made of pure gas most of our gas is sensitive to magnetism. This sensitivity makes this type of gas so special that scientists sometimes give it a special name: plasma. Eight planets and their moons, tens of thousands of asteroids, and trillions of comets revolve around the sun. The sun and all these objects are in the solar system. Earth travels around the sun at an average distance of about 92,960,000 miles from it. The suns temperature is about 5,500 degrees. So just imagine u in the middle of the pe field in the hot summer of the weather of about 110 degrees and then multiply it by 5 and that is how hot the sun is.

Nirvana
Info found at: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nirvana_(band)
Nirvana's brief run ended with Cobain's death in April 1994, but the band's popularity continued in the years that followed. In 2002, "You Know You're Right", an unfinished demo from the band's final recording session, topped radio playlists around the world. Since their debut, the band has sold over twenty-five million albums in the US alone, and over fifty million worldwide.
Three of my favorite Nirvana songs are:

Band Of The Week By Martina
Alien Ant Farm is an American alternative rock band that formed in the southern California city of Riverside in 1995. Their name comes from an idea guitarist Terry Corso had about aliens and the earth--"I was daydreaming at my dull desk job with my feet up, and I thought to myself, 'Wouldn't it be cool if the human species were placed on earth and cultivated by alien intelligence?' Maybe the aliens added us to an atmosphere that was suitable for us, and they've been watching us develop and colonize, kind of like what a kid does with an ant farm."

The Cure is an English Rock Band formed in Crawley, West Sussex
in 1976 mostly considered as a 1900's rock band or Gothic band
they are a very famous band from England and mainly around the world
first begging releasing music in the late 1970s with their debut album Three Imaginary Boys (1979); this, along with several early singles, placed the band as part of the post-punk and New Wave movements that had sprung up in the wake of the punk rock revolution in the United Kingdom. During the early 1980s, the band's increasingly dark and tormented music helped form the Gothic rock genre.
After the release of Pornography realeased in 1982, the band's future
was uncertain and Smith was keen to move past the gloomy reputation
his band had acquired. With the 1982 single "Let's Go to Bed" Smith began
to inject more of a pop sensibility into the band's music. The Cure's
popularity increased as the decade wore on, especially in the United States where the songs "Just Like Heaven", "Lovesong" and "Friday I'm in Love" entered the Billboard Hot 100 charts. By the start of the 1990s, The Cure were one of themost popular alternative rock bands in the world.
In February 2008 The Cure kicked off the 23 date European leg of ‘The 4Tour’, and
in May released “The Only One”, the first of 4 singles to be released every 13th of
the month for 4 months. “Freakshow”, “Sleep When I’m Dead” and “The Perfect Boy”
followed, and as the band continued ‘The 4Tour’ with a sell-out 27 date North American
leg, all 4 singles reached #1 on the Billboard chart. Indeed, for one remarkable week in
August, 4 Cure singles were in the USA Top 20 at the same time!
The Cure has inspired a lot of artist into doing some of their greatest work going from
September the “Hypnagogic States” EP was released, featuring remixes of the first 4
singles by acclaimed younger artists Gerard Way (My Chemical Romance), Pete Wentz
& Patrick Stump (Fall Out Boy), Jade Puget (AFI) and 30 Seconds To Mars. 4Tour support
band 65 Days Of Static joined in the fun, remixing all four singles as one track. All artist
royalties from this EP were donated to the International Red Cross
1985's The Head On The Door, Kiss Me Kiss Me Kiss Me, 1993, Paris, Sleep When I'm Dead and Galore; these were one of the most famous and best sold albums The Cure sold, beingthe best they have the best songs they have ever made such as; Lovesong, Boys Don't cry, Friday I'm In love, Pictures of You, Why Cant I Be You, Forest, Sleep When I'm Dead. So go listen to The Cure anytime soon and start enjoying their music :D

Why Don't People Think About Disabled People and Their Needs?
We should all start thinking about disabled people and their needs because they are humans just like us. Don't discriminate against them just because they can't walk. Many people have health issues but people discriminate against disabled people more than others. We are all equal and we should all be treated equally. Remember, the next time you see a disabled person, treat them as if they were family.

Say No to Uniforms At LAAMS!
posted by Marsela B.
Why should students wear uniforms when teachers don't? Students hate uniforms in case teachers don't notice. We hate the uniforms and especially tucking in our shirts. The colors blend in with the paint of the school! Why do we have to wear uniforms?
This is what students think about uniforms:
"I think that school uniforms don't let us express our feelings." -Anonymous
"I think that school uniforms suck that's why I don't wear it." -Socorro
Do you think school uniforms express our feelings?
"No not at all."-Franklin
"No because they don't let us wear what we want. They male us wear what they want."-Anthony G.
"Our school uniforms look like jail uniforms." -Edward C.
"School uniforms do not look like jail uniforms."-Dennise
"It is trying to be a private school."-Ashley P.
How does the uniforms make us look?
"I think school uniforms make student look more professional because their wearing collars and they have their shirts tucked in just like adults in Corporate America." -Mr.Pascascio
Why do they make us wear uniforms?
"So everyone is equal." - Ms. Murphy
"Many people judge you by the way you dress so, they rather make us keep it the same." - Javier

As the school ate lunch, the MPR’s stage’s door flew open and a lovely mariachi came out. They sang a variety of songs such a Canta Y No Llores, El Mariachi Loco, and other traditional songs. Of course they were celebrating September 16 the day Mexico got their independence. Since it got us all unexpected the media team was really close in not being able to take pictures, but we covered it anyway. Everybody had fun, because even students danced with teachers and students danced with other students. In behalf of the media team we would like to say thanks to Mr. Hernandez and Mr. Guerrero for bringing the Mariachi.

Have you herd of the myth of kraken if you didn't I will tell you about it.
HISTORY OF KRAKEN :
Since the medieval times, sailors and fishermen have been disappearing from western Europe.Scandinavia has told us about a vast, tentacled sea monster that terrorizes all ships that set sail. The kraken lives in depths dwarfing the largest of whales. In some "stories" the Kraken is said to have 1000 tentacles and ten mouths. The kraken is gargantuan in size, it has dozens of mighty tentacles that are used to grab ships and crush them, its eyes are like those of squids and octopuses. When it attacks it spreads its tentacles in every directions grasping everything with in reach. They said the monster was so big that the monster was sometimes mistaken for an island. The kraken has a lot of nicknames like giant squid or giant octopus and crab-fish. It also says that kraken was sorta related to Leviathan a sea serpent. The kraken is awesome and has recently had a role in the pirate of the Caribbean series.
