Odd Animal Of The Week

Jumping in too this odd animal of the week is the hairy frog. Its this weeks odd animal because it really has hairs on its bottom. It can be found in the waterfalls of Africa and is the only frog that has hairs in its bottom. Good thing the frog dosen't shave because those hairs are unique. They are actually skinny projections full of blood vessels. This lets this frog stand out from all the other amphibians. The frogs hairs help it absorb oxygen from the water. The frogs unique hairs will only during mating season so don't be confused if you find it with no hairs. They only appear during mating season because the hairy frog is a devoted dad. When the female has laid her eggs its the males job too look after them. Maybe it uses it hairs too stay under water more and guard its precious babies.
